About Riverwood Golf Course
Riverwood is the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District's big course, dedicated on June 21, 1969, and set on the Missouri River flood plain. It's parkland golf: wide fairways lined with trees, and the district points out the wildlife that comes with a riverside site. Golfweek picked it as one of its 2016 Best Courses You Can Play.
It's a par 72 with a lot of tee choices. The Black tees play 7,066 yards, then Gold at 6,486, Blue at 6,059, White at 5,169 and Green at 3,670, with combination sets in between, so it's easy to find the right length. The carts have GPS and follow the 90-degree rule on par 4s and 5s when it's dry, and stay on the path on the par 3s.
