Mojave Resort Golf Club

Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley routed it through the river lowlands beside the Avi Casino: wide fairways, wind-shaped dunes, desert mountains all around.

About Mojave Resort Golf Club

Mojave Resort sits on the Nevada side of the Colorado River, right next to the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe's Avi Casino, and the tribe runs it. Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley laid it out through the lowlands along the riverbank, so it's green and flat in a brown, rocky landscape, with wind-shaped sand dunes and native plants lining wide fairways and desert mountains on the horizon.

It measures 6,939 yards from the back, with four sets of tees. Flat doesn't mean easy: the map survey counts about 86 bunkers and water near seven holes, five of them with a forced carry, and less than 20 feet of elevation change across the whole property. This is winter golf. The main season runs October to mid-May, when the course says Laughlin usually sits at 68 to 72 degrees. From June through August the shop keeps summer hours, 5:30 to 11 a.m. with a 10 a.m. last tee time, and the course closes for about a month after Labor Day to overseed (September 8 to October 8 in 2026). There's a grass range with target flags, a short-game area with a bunker, PGA lessons, and a snack bar with a patio.
