About The Ridge Course at The Lodge
The Ridge is the second course at The Lodge of Four Seasons, the Lake of the Ozarks resort Harold Koplar opened in 1964, alongside the older Robert Trent Jones Sr. course, The Cove. Ken Kavanaugh designed it to use the natural terrain, and you feel that on almost every hole: rolling hills, natural rock outcroppings, native wildflowers and glimpses of the lake.
It's a par 72 that's more about position than length, 6,447 yards from the Blue tees with a 71.4 rating and 130 slope, down to 6,020, 5,461 and 4,617 from the White, Yellow and Red. The map survey has trees along all 18 holes, 49 bunkers and 9 holes that bend, 8 of them to the right, but water near only two, so the trees, not the water, are what you'll be playing around. The Ridge has its own full-service driving range, open to the public, and the Ridge Grill, and the carts have GPS. It's seasonal: the course and grill reopened on April 8 this year after spring aerification.
