About Cypress Bend Golf Club
Cypress Bend sits on the Louisiana side of Toledo Bend Lake, just across the Texas line, and the golf course is the centerpiece of the resort. Jeff Blume redesigned it as part of a full resort rebuild, and the new course opened in 2024. Ten holes run along the water, with coves and bayous working into the layout, undulating greens, and hardwood forest behind the lakeshore.
Before the rebuild it was known for its lake views and rolling ground and had a reputation with strong players. The stated aim of the redesign was to make it play well for everyone, from new golfers up. It's part of Louisiana's Audubon Golf Trail, and the resort calls it the trail's crown jewel.
It's one of 22 courses Yoink watches in the East Texas area, and the closest alternative is Warrior Hills Golf Course, about 38 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
