About Orchard Valley Golf Course

Orchard Valley is the Fox Valley Park District's course on Aurora's west side, designed by Ken Kavanaugh: par 72, about 6,800 yards from the back, with four sets of tees. Chicago Golf Report describes large, undulating greens, fairly generous fairways, and a finish that asks for a tee shot over water. It has held the Illinois Open twice. Mark Hensby won in 1996 at 12 under, and Todd Tremaglio won in 1998 in a playoff.

The course is coming out of a major rebuild. Starting in November 2024 the district put $8.8 million, mostly bond money, into its 31-year-old infrastructure: new irrigation, rebuilt and moved bunkers, refreshed and partly expanded greens, bigger tees, new grass throughout, retaining walls on 2 and 17, and an added fairway on 13. The course site lists summer 2026 as the target finish. The Orchard Social is the bar and grill.
