About Meadow Links Golf Course
Meadow Links is the golf course at George T. Bagby State Park, on Lake Walter F. George in the far southwest corner of Georgia. Willard Byrd designed it as a links-style course fitted into gently rolling countryside, and it's big: par 72, 7,007 yards, 72.7 rating and 133 slope from the back, with 64 bunkers. The greens are large with subtle breaks, and long Bahia rough lines the fairways.
The spot regulars point to is the hill behind the 10th green, crowned by two big pecan trees and an old pear tree; the park calls it one of the finest views in the South. When it opened in 1998, Golf Digest named it the nation's sixth best new affordable public course. It's a state park course, so you can make a weekend of it with the park's lake, marina and fishing.
