About Ute Creek Golf Course
Ute Creek is a City of Longmont municipal course, designed by the Robert Trent Jones II Group and opened in 1997. It's par 72 and runs from 5,509 to 7,167 yards. From the black tees it rates 73.6 with a 135 slope, so the back of the card is a real test, and there are four more sets of tees to move up to.
Water is the story here. The city points to five lakes, two creeks, multi-level fairways and native grass. The map data backs that up: water is in play on 12 of the 18 holes, and you carry it on 7 of them. A creek or river comes into play on 10 holes. Course character from OpenStreetMap contributors' survey data.
The course is certified in Audubon International's Cooperative Sanctuary Program, and in 2024 the city marked its tenth year of recognition. It's one of about 750 courses in the world with that certification.
It's one of 4 courses in Longmont on Yoink, and the closest alternative is Sunset Golf Course, about 3 miles away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
