About Thornberry Creek at Oneida
Thornberry Creek sits just northwest of Green Bay. It opened in 1994, it's owned by the Oneida Nation, and it's the official golf course of the Green Bay Packers. Rick Jacobson designed both courses here: the 18-hole Legends and the 9-hole Iroquois. Holes move from Northwoods-style forest to prairie and meadow, over sloping ground with plenty of water. The Legends is par 72 and 6,934 yards from the back tees (73.4 rating, 134 slope from the blues). The survey data shows water on seven holes, the creek along five, and about 74 bunkers. From 2017 to 2019 it hosted the LPGA's Thornberry Creek Classic. In 2018 Kim Sei-young went 31 under for a 257, the lowest to-par score and lowest 72-hole total in LPGA Tour history. In August 2019 the Oneida Nation said the event didn't return enough on the investment and didn't renew. The clubhouse has a sports pub, a restaurant and a 300-person ballroom.
