About Indian Wells Golf Resort - Celebrity Course

The Celebrity is the pretty half of Indian Wells Golf Resort, a municipal facility. The resort calls its two courses "Beauty and the Beast"; this is the Beauty, a Clive Clark par 72 that opened in November 2006. Water is the theme: streams and brooks, and split-level lakes linked by waterfalls, all set against the mountains. The map survey counts water near 10 holes, seven shots that carry it, and about 122 bunkers, with trees along only three holes. Course character from OpenStreetMap contributors' survey data.

A 2024 Troon release describes narrow corridors and wildflowers that make you work the ball, so the Beauty isn't a pushover. GolfPass named it one of the 50 Most Popular Courses in the U.S. in 2023. Between them, the Celebrity and the Players Course have hosted Golf Channel's Big Break and the PGA's Skins Game.

The clubhouse is huge, 53,000 square feet, with the VUE Grille and Bar, a golf academy with Trackman bays and fitting, and a putting course for evenings.

It's one of 48 courses Yoink watches in the Palm Springs area, and the closest alternative is Palm Desert Country Club, about 1 mile away — handy when your first choice is booked solid.
